9 christmas books 2

I’m desperately waiting for more snow to fall, how about you? November’s been a mix so far and it’s almost over. The only good thing about this is I used my birthday money to buy the M&S beauty advent calendar so I can’t wait for December to begin!

This month has been busy – my sixteenth book came out in October and I realised I now have a total of nine Christmas books. Here they all are, aren’t they beautiful? I’ve also finished book 17 (the first draft anyway) and that’s another Christmas book – set somewhere new for a change! You’ll have to wait a while for that as it won’t be published until next year, but I’m already quite excited about it.

I’ve now received my structural edits and (as usual) I’m sitting with them for a few days. I always start out by thinking ‘ahhhhh’ how can I possibly do that?! But after a night of sleep I’m sure it’ll all look far more possible. It’s a part of the process isn’t it?

More new publishing!

November also saw the publication of Christmas Secrets in the Scottish Highlands in Slovakia, Snowflakes and Secrets in the Scottish Highlands in the Czech Republic and Christmas at the Scottish Lodge on Audiobook. I love seeing my books in different countries and formats. I know many people now enjoy audiobooks more than reading and I love listening to them too. Mhairi Morrison has voiced a few of my audiobooks now and she’s absolutely brilliant.

A month in pics

It’s been a busy month so here are a few pictures to summarise. I’m now in Christmas movie season and this is the first one I watched! My daughter went travelling and is in Vietnam. She’ll be back in time for Christmas but I’m missing her loads! I love to dress up for Halloween, so here’s a picture of my new hat!

Christmas reading

We’re getting into Christmas season and I have a few to recommend. Copenhagen Snowmance by the lovely Pernille Hughes (loved this foody, snowy escape). Mistletoe and Magic by Helene Sula (a lovely romance set in York), and Christmas on Fifth Avenue by Julie Caplin (who wouldn’t want to spend Christmas in New York with Julie!) They are all fabulous reads and I’ll recommend more as the year goes on.

That’s it from me for now. Hope you’re enjoying the month and good luck as we head into December!

Donna xx
